The deal, in plain words.
Last updated October 24, 2026 · Blueprint Consulting AI LLC
These terms are an agreement between you and Blueprint Consulting AI LLC ("we"), a North Carolina company, for the 4th Place Run iPhone and Apple Watch apps, 4th Place Run Club, and 4thplacerunclub.com (together, "the service"). By installing or using any of it you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
1. The app and your license
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in full. These terms add to it. You may use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial training. Don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape it, and don't use it in any way that breaks the law.
2. Health and safety
The app is not medical advice. Plans, paces, projections, Coach notes, badges, and the club are general fitness guidance generated from standard running rules. Consult a doctor before starting a plan, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or shortness of breath beyond normal effort. You alone decide whether, when, and how hard to run. Read the full Health notice; it's part of these terms.
3. The run club
- Joining is optional and requires Sign in with Apple. You must be 13 or older. One account per person.
- The club is for people, not bots. Use a name you'd answer to, keep it clean, and treat other members the way you'd want to be treated on a long run. No harassment, no hate, no selling, no impersonation.
- Only runs recorded to Apple Health are posted to the board. Don't try to fake them. Hosts and admins can remove runs, members, or meetups that break these rules, without notice if needed.
- Meetups are organized by members. Showing up is your call and your responsibility; we don't supervise them, verify routes, or insure them. Follow the host's instructions and local law.
- You keep ownership of your content (your name, runs, messages). You give us the right to show it to club members and to send it through our systems, which is what the club is. Delete your account and it's gone from the club.
4. Purchases
Race Pass
A one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited plans, the finish projection, weekly charts, the lock-screen widget, and CSV export on the Apple Account that bought it, shareable with Family Sharing. No renewal.
Coach
An auto-renewing subscription, yearly or monthly, billed to your Apple Account at the price shown in the app. New subscribers get a free first week; the subscription renews at the end of the trial and at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Prices can change; Apple tells you first and you can cancel. Coach features need the app and, for some notes, your runs in Apple Health.
Refunds
Apple handles billing and refunds under its policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
5. Race registration
Race search is provided by RunSignup. Registering happens on RunSignup's site, under RunSignup's and the race organizer's terms. The app's registration links carry an affiliate code, and RunSignup may pay us part of its processing fee. We don't run races, sell entries, or guarantee a race's date, course, or existence.
6. Privacy
How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. What we don't promise
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any plan will get you to any result. Apple Health, Apple Watch, iCloud, push notifications, email delivery, and RunSignup are run by others and can fail. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blueprint Consulting AI LLC and its people aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for injury, illness, lost data, or lost profits, arising from the service, a training plan, a Coach note, a meetup, or a race. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Ending things
You can stop using the app, leave the club, or delete your club account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or close a club account that breaks these terms or that's used in a way that harms the service or other members. Sections 2, 7, 8, and 10 survive.
10. The legal part
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you agree to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our failure to enforce something isn't a waiver. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms as to the app and may enforce them.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we'll show the date at the top and tell club members by email or in the app before it takes effect. Using the service after that is acceptance.
